GUIDELINES TO EXHIBIT

... please read the following before you approach us.

The primary business of 34Long is dealing in the work of artists who have established reputations locally and internationally.

We also nurture the careers of selected emerging artists whom we believe have the ability, the commitment and professional perspective to become artists of distinction.

We do not believe in overnight sensations, nor in casual transactions. We believe in building relationships of mutual respect and trust with artists and with collectors, in long term appreciation of value, and in the integrity of our judgment. We accept only work which connects with our personal passion and vision. So, should we decline your work, please understand it as a considered business decision, not personal rejection.

Artists and exhibitions are unique, so we don't have an inflexible gallery policy. We prefer to negotiate individual agreements with artist whose work we show. Issues typically included are:

  •  Framing, mounting, hanging and presentation

  •  Catalogue: images, writing, editing, publishing — sharing of cost

  •  Opening: catering and service, security, reception — sharing of cost

  •  Private viewing

  •  Invitations: design, printing, postage, emailing, mailing list — sharing of cost
